VIS 2180 Video Principles

This course serves to introduce students to the planning, execution, and revision of long-form video projects from concept to completion. Two classroom, four lab hours per week.

  • Evaluate existing short films and critique their narrative structure and production techniques.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of the steps involved in planning a long-form video production in a group setting, including script writing, location scouting, shot lists, and storyboarding.
  • Demonstrate advanced-level technical skills to capture professional-level video and audio.
